User consent form
A. Self-Attestation (Required)
- I confirm I am at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in my jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
- I confirm I am located in Uganda or I understand the Platform is geofenced and many features may be unavailable to me.
- I confirm I have read and understood the Privacy Policy v1.2 and Terms of Service v1.2.
B. Core Consents (Required to use the Platform)
By clicking “I Agree and Create Account,” you provide your specific and informed consent to the processing activities listed below. Without these consents we cannot operate the Platform for you.

| 5 | Cross-border processing | Your personal data may be stored and processed in data centres located outside Uganda. Wherever data is stored, we apply the safeguards required by the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 (including written data-processing agreements and appropriate contractual clauses) and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR. |
C. Feature-Specific Consents (Optional)
You may toggle each of these on or off independently in Profile → Privacy preferences, at any time, without losing access to the rest of the Platform.

| 15 | Energy estimate (wellbeing feature, adults only) | OFF | The app estimates the calories you burnt today from the activities you log, using published exertion values and a weight band you choose. This is health-related information (DPPA s.9). Everything is calculated and kept only on your device; nothing is uploaded or shared. We record only this consent event. It is an estimate, not medical advice. Turning it off deletes the data from your device. |
D. What You Are NOT Consenting To
For clarity, you are NOT consenting to any of the following — because we do not do them:
- n Sale of your Personal Data to third parties.
- n Behavioural or targeted advertising based on your Personal Data.
- n Biometric processing (the Platform does not collect biometric data).
- n Profiling that produces legal effects on you.
- n Sharing your phone number with other marketplace users.
- n Sharing your raw aerial mapping imagery with research partners.
- n Collecting data from children under 18.
E. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw any optional consent at any time by:
- Going to Profile → Privacy preferences and toggling the consent off.
- Going to Profile → Delete my account to revoke all consents and erase your data (subject to legally mandated retention windows described in Privacy Policy §17).
- Emailing privacy@snowvue.com or privacy@snowvue.com. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing conducted before withdrawal.
F. Consequences of Withdrawal
- Withdrawing core consents (§B) requires us to close your account, since we cannot operate without them.
- Withdrawing feature-specific consents (§C) disables only the corresponding feature; the rest of the Platform continues to work.
G. Your Rights
You retain all data-subject rights described in our Privacy Policy, including the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, object, and complain to a supervisory authority (in Uganda: the Personal Data Protection Office, [www.pdpo.go.ug](https://www.pdpo.go.ug)).
H. How We Record Your Consent
When you click “I Agree and Create Account,” we record:
- the version number of the Privacy Policy, Terms, and Consent Form you accepted (currently v1.2);
- a server-side timestamp (UTC);
- your IP address at the time of acceptance;
- a hash of the consent payload (which boxes were ticked). This record is stored securely with your account and produced on request when you exercise your right of access.
I. Re-Consent on Material Changes
If we materially change any of these documents, we will:
- Notify you by in-app banner at least 30 days before the change takes effect;
- Block access to the changed features until you have reviewed and re-accepted the new version, or chosen to withdraw consent.
